Financial Aid Identity Verification Instructions
If the TU Financial Aid Office contacted you and notified you that your FAFSA was selected for the federal financial aid identity verification process, you must provide identity documentation to the Financial Aid Office.
You (the student) must provide the documentation in person by visiting our office or during a video appointment. We can only accept documentation via the two methods listed below.
Required Documentation
You must present valid government-issued photo identification, such as, but not limited to:
- a driver’s license
- other state-issued ID
- U.S. Passport
Document Submission Options
Submission Option 1: Schedule a video appointment
- Present the documentation during a Zoom or Webex video appointment.
- Call us at 410-704-4236 to schedule an “Identity Verification” video appointment with a “Financial Aid Processor.”
- During the video appointment, you must present the documentation, and we will screen capture it.
Submission Option 2: Visit the Financial Aid Office
Visit the TU Financial Aid Office. When you arrive, please tell the staff member you need to complete “Identity Verification.“
