Towson University is now a member of the Common App. Apply now!
A holistic review process is used to determine freshman admission. The primary factors in our evaluation are based on your high school courses, grades and supplemental materials submitted with the application. We will evaluate the academic rigor in the context of the high school environment, extracurricular involvement, college application essay, and other information provided on your application.
Submit your application with all required materials by TU’s December 1 Early Action deadline to be considered for merit-based Admissions scholarships or the Honors College. A $45 non-refundable application fee is required when you apply. See our application fee waiver options.
On the Common Application, you will be required to list your activities and write a college essay. We encourage you to be as thorough as possible as these items are part of our holistic review process.
Please have your school counselor submit your official high school transcript electronically (e.g., Naviance, Parchment, ACT, Scoir, Scribonline, etc.). If your school cannot send electronically, transcripts can be mailed to: University Admissions, 8000 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21252.
There is no requirement of the SAT or ACT for admissions review. If test scores are
submitted with an application, they will be considered but will not negatively impact
an application for admission.
