Management students have opportunities to participate in events and programs throughout the year, such as panel discussions and presentations by business community representatives to gain first-hand knowledge of their career possibilities after graduation. Student organizations provide many of these opportunities and more.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is devoted to the development of human resource management and organizational strategy. In partnership with the Chesapeake Human Resource Association, SHRM offers opportunities including scholarships, networking, internships, peer mentoring, resume building and mock interviews.
