Community Engagement Requests

The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility (CESR) has established partnerships with departments on campus and organizations in local communities to connect Towson University (TU) students with activities that contribute to community-identified projects and deepen students’ academic and civic learning.

Explore peer-led or self-led community engagement with campus and local partners.

Community Connectors facilitate peer-led engagement opportunities organized by CESR. Transportation is provided for up to 30 participants.

The self-led option provides an opportunity for students or student groups to organize community visits with CESR-identified partners. These opportunities are not facilitated by CESR and students are responsible for their own transportation. Office of Partnerships and Outreach offers additional community engagement resources for faculty and staff.

CESR also provides semester long community engagement programs, including the Lutherville Lab Mentors program and the Social Action Collaboratory.
