The Common Data Set (CDS) is a national set of standardized questions and definitions which universities use to submit data to guidebooks, institutional rankings, and other publications.
The CDS includes data points for student enrollment and persistence, admissions requirements and profile, financial aid, annual student expenses, student life, academic offerings and policies, instructional faculty counts and class sizes.
