Workshops designed to address the search process, implicit bias and stereotypes as well as other issues that can affect the fairness of a search.

Through a partnership between the Office of the Provost and the Office of Inclusion and Institutional Equity, this faculty search and hire toolkit introduces your hiring committee to inclusive and equitable recruitment, interview, and onboarding practices.

There are four workshops that are currently offered:

Successful Faculty Searches

This is a comprehensive walk through the search and hiring process for faculty/librarians. During this session, participants will become aware of national challenges with diversifying the academic workforce, national best practices, current TU policies and practices, and opportunities to hire more equitably. This is a 2-hour session.

An individual writing

Writing a Job Description

This is an opportunity for search committees to learn more about writing with inclusive language in order to deep applicant pools for TU faculty positions. Successful Faculty Searches is a prerequisite for this session. This is a 1-hour session.

This is an opportunity for search committees and departments to review and update their current search and hire practices with a specialist. Successful Faculty Searches is a prerequisite for this session. This is a 1-hour session.
