We offer training and monitoring to minimize campus health and safety risks.
Our goal is to keep the campus environment safe for its inhabitants and in compliance
with federal, state, and local standards. We have dedicated programs geared toward
maintaining environmental, biological, and radiation safety, proper stormwater management, and securing chemical hazards. We also work to minimize the risk of individuals working on campus through employee safety programs, which include asbestos and other emergency risks, and occupational safety programs, including hearing conservation, ladder safety, and accident investigations. When occupational incidents occur, we help with insurance processing.
EHS provides hazardous waste disposal on campus. For nonhazardous waste disposal questions
and information on sustainable practices, please visit the TU webpages below:

CPR training is offered to the campus community through the College of Health Professions and Campus Recreation. In addition, anyone on campus can use our more than 120 life-saving automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in emergency situations. No training is required to use an AED to save someone experiencing cardiac arrest. However, it is important to know the benefits of CPR/AED training in the workplace (PDF). Signage showcasing the locations of AEDs within a building can be located in lobbies and/or elevators. For additional information and videos, please visit our CPR/AED webpage.
