Worldwide Teach-In 3.30.2022

Join Conversations on Climate Solutions and Justice

In lieu of the Environmental Conference this year, Towson University is a proud participant in the Worldwide Teach-In Climate/Justice .

The Worldwide Teach-In is an international project of the Graduate Programs in Sustainability at Bard College. On March 30, 2022 university students across the planet will engage in the topic of climate solutions and justice in and outside the classroom. Towson University has set the goal of engaging 300 students in classroom discussions on climate solutions and justice through the lens of their course topics.

Faculty can participate in the Teach-in by theming a lecture the week of Monday, March 28 - Friday, April 1 around the theme of climate solutions and justice in the context of your course topic. We ask that interested faculty fill out a brief survey to track their participation.

Celebrate this work by joining Faculty Experts for a discussion on how Climate Change and Justice are shaping the curriculum. The panel discussion will take place Wednesday, March 30th, 12-1:30 pm. Prior registration is required. Faculty panelists include:

  • Dr. JinDong Park, College of Business and Economics
  • Dr. Todd Kenreich, College of Education
  • Prof. Kim Hopkins, College of Fine Arts and Communications
  • Dr. Jillian Fry, College of Health Professions
  • Dr. Sya Kedzior, College of Liberal Arts
  • Dr. Brian Fath, Fisher College of Science and Mathematics

An earth-friendly lunch will be served to in-person attendees.

This event is co-sponsored by FACET, the Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility, and the Office of Sustainability.

The teach-in is across discipline and open to any faculty member to participate. Share the important ways you're engaging students in climate solution discussions.
