Changes to our Process:

  • Anyone who wishes to rent gear from Outdoor Adventures must submit a Gear Rental Reservation Request.  We do not accept walk-up rentals.
  • Gear Rental is only operating for weekend rentals.  Gear must be picked up on Thursdays or Fridays between 4-6 p.m. and must be returned the following Monday between 4-6 p.m.
  • Gear Rental will operate as a contactless pick up and drop off.  Please read the “How it Works” section for more information about your role in the contactless Gear Rental changes.

How It Works:

  1. Select your equipment from the Rental Items list.
  2. Complete a Rental Request form.  Rental requests must be submitted at least three days before the desired pick-up date. All rentals must be picked up on Thursdays or Fridays between 4-6 p.m.
  3. Outdoor Adventures will call to confirm your rental request, your rental period, as well as go over your rental invoice and sizing information.
  4. An invoice will be emailed to your TU email address.  The invoice will take you directly to Campus Recreation’s billing website, where you will pay for your rental. All payments must be completed before pick-up.
  5. After paying for your rental, you will receive a receipt via email.  The receipt will give you a phone number to call and where to pick up your rental.
  6. When you are en route to pick up your rental, call the number on your receipt.  Our staff will go over any final details with your rental and set your gear outside of the pick-up location.
  7. Grab your gear and adventure away!
  8. Our staff will give you a courtesy phone call on the Monday following your rental (the due date) with a reminder and instructions for how to return your gear.
