Classroom Technology Support

Classroom and Computer Lab Technology (CCLT) support staff are responsible for fielding initial problem reports for most classrooms, but the primary support may be the college or department. Each room has instructions for who to contact and how to receive help. If they are not posted, check the Virtual Tour of Campus Technology Equipped Classrooms.

Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday: noon to 4 p.m.

 Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Call 4TECH (410-704-8324) for first line of defense "rescue" assistance when problems arise in a classroom or computer-equipped teaching lab. Support is provided for computers and general audiovisual equipment only. Course- or class-specific equipment and other technologies are directly supported by the academic department or college.

On-Site Classroom Service

If a problem cannot be solved by phone, a visit to the classroom may be needed. OTS will coordinate this as soon as possible, subject to staff availability. On-site visits are a cooperative effort between the college, department and OTS staff. While priority attention is given to classroom outages and problems, we do not have a rapid-deployment guarantee at TU. Faculty should always have a “Plan B” if the technology does not work.

ONline service request

After hours, weekends, and holidays or for non-urgent issues, please submit a TechHelp service request to report a problem online or ask a question. Follow these steps:

  1. Login with your NetID and password
  2. Choose Employee Role for the Request Type
  3. Choose Classroom, Computer Lab, and Audiovisual Technologies
  4. Choose Report a Problem or Request Repairs
  5. Select the building where the problem room is located
  6. Fill in the Request Detail describing the problem, issue, or question
  7. Click Classroom Issue and choose the most appropriate topic
  8. Click College to indicate which college you are affiliated with 
  9. Click Rooms in...and choose the particular room with the problem

Out-of-Scope Services

  • office computers
  • general "how to" help for non-classroom software
  • Blackboard
  • any other issues
