For Enrolled Graduate Students

In order to make your transition to Towson University as smooth as possible, we have created this To-Do List with important tasks for you to complete before you start classes.

Please note:

  • Spring semester To-Do List tasks are updated by mid-October
  • Fall semester To-Do List tasks are updated by mid-March

Required Tasks 

  1. Complete Online To-Do List (In addition to tasks below; requires log-in)
  2. Activate Towson University Email & Online Services Account (NetID)
  3. Contact Your Program Director for Advising
  4. Register for Classes (You will not be able to register for classes until the day after your enrollment contract has been received)
  5. Apply for Financial Aid
  6. Accept Financial Aid Package
  7. Complete Immunization Requirements
  8. Complete all three mandatory prevention programs (alcohol; prescription addiction opiods; sexual violence; you will need your TU ID number to login)
  9. Get Your OneCard

  10. Submit official, final Transcript (if you have not done so as part of your admission application)
  11. Learn About Your Online Bill & Billing Schedule, Enroll in the e-Rebate/Refund Program, and Complete 1098-T Consent
  12. Register for International Student Orientation (International Students Only)

  2. Register for Emergency Text Messaging
  3. Request Accessibility & Disability Services (if applicable)
  4. Purchase Parking Permit (required if you will be parking on campus)
  5. Determine Off-Campus Housing Options
  6. Purchase Course Materials
  7. Dining Plan Options
  8. Apply for Graduate Assistantships

Future Notifications and Communication

During your transition to Towson University, we will communicate important information to you using your TU and personal email account. Please note the following date(s) when email notifications will be sent to your TU account only:

  • Students entering TU for the spring term will receive email notifications to their TU email account beginning January 30
  • Students entering TU for the fall term will receive email notifications to their TU email account after July 1
