Participant Update

Hello from the TU Study Abroad & Away Office! We hope you are enjoying your adventure and are making the most of your experience. Please review the information below regarding registration, reminders about key study abroad/away policies, and useful resources to help you while are away.

Course Registration Information

It is time to think about registration for your next term at Towson. Visit the Academic Calendar on the Registrar's website to check on the dates!

The Degree Completion Plan requirement will NOT prevent students who are studying abroad or away from registering for classes at Towson. However, some academic departments connect completion of the Degree Completion Plan with removal of the Academic Advising hold. Please check with your Academic Adviser about this requirement. For more information about how to file a Degree Completion Plan, visit the website of your College or Major Department.

Graduation

Are you planning on graduating soon? If you have not already applied for graduation, contact the Graduation Office immediately at 410-704-2095. Applications and further instructions can be found on their website. If you will be graduating within one year of your study abroad or away experience, follow the tips below and if you have additional questions.

Email an official verification of your enrollment abroad or away (course titles and equivalent U.S. credit hours) to once your schedule is finalized.

Ask your host institution or program to release your transcript as soon as possible upon completion of your studies and have it sent to the TU Study Abroad & Away Office. If your transcript(s) will be arriving more than 6 weeks after the graduation date for which you applied, you may need to defer your graduation until the following semester.

Check out the Commencement webpage for information about ordering your cap and gown. Failure to follow these procedures may result in delay of graduation.
