Students without a background in statistics or with a B.S. degree more than five years old must take a course in statistics (EBTM 501 Applied Business Statistics) prior to taking classes in the program.
All application materials must be provided through the online application.
The deadline to apply for the fall term is August 15. Priority for fall will be given to students whose application and materials have been received by July 1. The deadline to apply for the spring term is January 7.
Important Notice: Applications received by the deadlines will receive priority consideration for admissions. Applicants who have missed their respective deadlines need to contact the program director first at supplychain AT_TOWSON. Admissions for late applications are considered based on the availability of seats.
Students may validate their background in statistics by providing an official transcript that shows either completion of an undergraduate degree that included a statistics course within the past five years or the successful completion of a statistics course in the past five years.
Students who do not have transcripts attesting to their background in statistics may qualify for a waiver by successfully completing a Statistics Qualifier Exam. The exam is administered by the program director and may be scheduled directly with the program director. It is a two-hour written exam. Calculators are allowed.
The exam is graded by Business Analytics and Technology Management faculty, and pass/fail results are provided to the student.
Students may choose to brush-up on their statistics skills prior to taking the Statistics Qualifier Exam by participating in a free online self-paced course. Contact the program director at supplychain AT_TOWSON for more information.
