Courses

An introductory course, IDHP 600: Transitions - Health Care Professionals in a Changing Environment, addresses contextual issues related to management in the current health care delivery system. Several primary themes are introduced and integrated throughout each of the courses in the certificate program. These include leadership development, ethics, quality and safety tools and metrics, and collaboration as a member of a diverse interdisciplinary team. The skill development courses can be taken in any sequence, but IDHP 600 Transitions is highly recommended at the start of the certificate. These include:

  • Health Care Financial Management
  • Strategic Planning and Marketing in Health Care
  • Human Resource Management

The final course in the certificate can be any graduate level course in a clinical discipline with management content.
