TU Students

Admission Requirements 

Students wishing to pursue the certificate must have completed GEOG 221 (or equivalent) with a C or higher. Students must be a degree-seeking student at Towson University.

Adding a Certificate to a Major

Please complete the Change of Major/Minor Form: Undergraduates (login required) to add the certificate. Please note that the certificate is in the list of majors, not the list of minors.

Non-TU Students

Non-TU students interested in enrolling in the certificate program must first apply and meet the eligibility requirements for non-degree admission.  Once admitted as a non-degree student, students must submit a request via the Change of Major form to add the certificate program to officially pursue the certificate. Note that the certificate is listed under majors, not minors. You will receive confirmation from the Registrar's Office once you have been placed in the program.
