Advising
Undergraduate students majoring or minoring in psychology can find various advising resources here, including information about requirements for the major or minor, course and career planning and mandated degree completion plans.
Psychology Department Advising Website
Undergraduate psychology majors receive academic and career advising from their assigned faculty advisor and by working with members of the Psychology Advising Team, which includes faculty, graduate assistants, and undergraduate peer advisors.
Click here to schedule an Advising Appointment with a member of the Psychology Advising Team. You may email the Advising Team at PSYCadvising AT_TOWSON.
Please visit the Advising Website for a one-stop-shop of information for students majoring or minoring in psychology. This website includes forms and tutorials, including the Degree Completion Plan form.
Degree Completion Plan
Once a student completes 45 credits, they are required to complete a Degree Completion Plan. A Degree Completion Plan Hold will be placed on a student's account, letting them know that this form must be completed. As a Psychology Major, students will complete the form linked below.
Once your form is completed, you should submit the completed form to the Psychology Advising Team for review. After the team reviews your Degree Completion Plan, your hold will be lifted from your account.
Please note: Degree Completion Plan holds will prevent you from registering for the following semester. It is crucial that you complete this form prior to your registration date to ensure you can register for classes on time.
