Second Bachelor’s Degree in Physics
The second bachelor’s degree program is designed to meet the needs of college graduates who wish to attain proficiency in another major field.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and must have a 2.00 Cumulative Quality Point Average from all previously attended institutions.
A maximum of 90 transferable credits of undergraduate course work will be applied toward the second bachelor's degree. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits in residence at TU and meet all the requirements of the physics major. At least one-half of the physics major credits must be completed at Towson University since the completion of the first degree. Each student must complete an advanced writing course. All other general education requirements are considered to have been met through the first degree.
Second bachelor’s degree candidates may qualify for departmental honors, the Dean’s List, and/or graduation with honors (60 credit hours at TU required). Please refer to the academic policies and procedures section of the Undergaduate Catalog.
