Prior to August 20, 2025

Complete your immunization requirements and upload your health insurance card. 
While payment for incoming students is not due until September 3, 2025 it is recommended to learn about payments, e-rebates and refunds, and your 1098-T consent.
If you are affiliated with a group approved for early move-in, your program coordinator will contact you directly with move-in instructions. You will complete required safety and wellness programs on Tuesday, August 19.

Your program director or Resident Assistant (RA) will communicate times and locations for dinner and mandatory programs.

Students will have the opportunity to attend fun events across campus. Refer to the Welcome to TU guide for times and locations.

Thursday, August 21

On-campus residents will attend floor meetings and dinner. Refer to the information provided to you at check-in. 


Your Resident Assistant (RA) will communicate times and locations for you to attend mandatory programs.

Students will have the opportunity to attend fun events across campus. Refer to the Welcome to TU guide for times and locations.

Friday, August 22

Students will be invited into the academic community by faculty and administrators. 9:30 am, TU Arena. Required for freshmen students. Please do not bring pepper spray/mace, bags, or any other prohibited items.
Join a campus tradition! After Convocation, students will be walked onto the field in Unitas Stadium to take part in the class photo. 

Students will be taken to lunch and then meet with their FYE adviser to talk about scheduling and academic requirements. Students should log in to their Towson Online Services account and look for their ORIE 305 course details for information about meeting times and location.

  • Click “Class Information”
  • Find your ORIE305 section
  • Click on the “>” symbol to expand the class information
  • Under details, find your FYE instructor, location for FYE meetings, and your section/FYE Group number
  • Use your group number to find your lunch assignment here.
Mandatory programs for off-campus and commuting students begin at 4 p.m. at the University Union 3rd floor ballrooms with an optional dining hall dinner to follow at 5 p.m.

Saturday, August 23

Your FYE Leader will communicate a meeting time and location on Friday. You can also find your assigned times here. Refer to the Welcome to TU guide for times and locations. 

Orientation Leaders will be available from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Freedom Square to help you walk your class schedule.
An optional CliftonStrengths 101 session will be held at 1 p.m. in the University Union Room 329.

Sunday, August 24

Orientation Leaders will be available from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Freedom Square to help you walk your class schedule.


Join the Center for Student Diversity and Fraternity and Sorority Life for a kick-off social event. Refer to the Welcome to TU guide for times and locations.

Join the Office of Student Activities for a fun conclusion to the weekend. Refer to the Welcome to TU guide for times and locations.

Monday, August 25

Classes begin for TU students.


Bus transportation will be provided for students to visit Target and purchase college necessities! 

Tuesday, August 26

Bus transportation will be provided for students to visit IKEA and purchase college necessities! Register here for the 4:00 pm bus, and register here for the 5:30 pm bus.
