Information for students transferring from another institution to Towson University.
Housing applications for fall 2023 open February 1, 2023 at 9 a.m. and closes on May 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Once admitted to the university, activate your student email and log on to the Student Housing Gateway where you will complete your housing application, agree to the terms and conditions of the housing contract, and pay the $350 non-refundable housing deposit. (for more details see the To Do List ). Once you have signed the housing contracted and paid the non-refundable housing deposit you will have secured university housing for 2023-2024. You will be able to update your housing application until the application closes on May 1, 2023.
Roommate selection (if you would like to live with another incoming student) will
occur June 12 through July 6, students will be emailed about roommate selection after
the application closes. If you would like to live with a current TU student, you will
have to complete the housing process by April 2 in order to be pulled in to the continuing
students space during room selection.
All housing assignments are made based on legal sex, unless the student requests Gender Inclusive Housing. Gender inclusive housing can be requested during the application process.
* Please note: Harris Hall and Tubman Houses are not operated by the university. Any monies paid to Capstone Properties cannot be transferred to the university.
Students that have a medical need for a housing accommodation must submit their accommodation request through the office of Accessibility and Disability Services.
