Transfer Applicants

Please read the following instructions carefully before beginning your application. Requirements for admission vary, depending on transferable credits completed and your academic record from all institutions attended. If you have application questions, please contact us at 410-704-2113 or email .

If you are applying to Towson University in Northeastern Maryland (at Harford Community College), please use the Towson University in Northeastern Maryland application.

Complete your transfer application by the deadlines and submit the application fee.

Spring 2026 
Application Deadline — November 15, 2025  
The Spring 2026 application will be available on September 2, 2025. 
 
Fall 2026 
Early Action and Honors College Deadline — March 1, 2026 
Regular Decision Deadline — June 1 
The Fall 2026 application will be available on October 1, 2025.  
 
A $50 non-deferrable, non-refundable fee is required with your application. Students applying with a fee waiver will have the option to choose the type of fee waiver to be used during the payment section of the application.

Apply to the Honors College.

To be considered for the Honors College, transfer admission applications must be completed no later than November 15 for Spring 2026 applicants, and no later than March 1 for Fall 2026 applicants.

Send official documents.

Transcripts should be sent from ALL of your previous institutions via electronic services (Parchment, Clearinghouse, etc.) or by postal mail to University Admissions. Faxes are not permitted.

  • Applicants with less than 24 transferable college credits at the time of application submission must submit an official final high school transcript. Test scores are not required.
  • If you attended or are currently attending a non-U.S. college, you must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation from an authorized company.

Review screened majors.

Review screened majors and discover if there are additional requirements for the major you wish to study.

Provide proof of English language proficiency.

Students that attend school outside of the United States may be required to provide proof of English-language proficiency.
