Admission Requirements & Deadlines


The program admits for the fall term only. Spring admission is not available at this time.

  • Priority deadline: February 28
  • Early Deadline: May 31
  • Final Deadline: August 1

Applications completed by the deadline will be reviewed and decision will be given soon thereafter. Applications in process by the deadline will be evaluated at the next deadline once completed.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Master of Science degree in Marketing Intelligence is competitive. The eligibility requirements are:

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.*
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.00 (on a scale of 4.00) or equivalent on the most recent 60 units of graduate or undergraduate work. Conditional admission may be granted with a minimum GPA of 2.75.

How to Apply

To apply, complete a Graduate Admission application. The following additional information will be requested as part of the online application:

  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to your ability to withstand the rigors of a graduate education. (Email addresses of recommenders must be entered on application).
  • A one- to two-page personal statement describing your past relevant experience, your career goals and how you expect this program to support those goals
  • A resume

Students without undergraduate coursework in statistics and programming may be required to complete additional coursework in these areas prior to being admitted the program.

Student Profile - Jill Norris ’18

Jill has worked in both the creative and strategic realms of marketing. With a bachelor’s degree in English/professional writing, Jill started her career as a copywriter turned strategist for a local IRA firm’s digital presence. Prior to enrolling in the master’s program, she joined Merkle Inc., a leading digital performance marketing agency. Her work at Merkle involves initiating, implementing and analyzing marketing campaigns for various clients.
