T. Rowe Price Finance Lab

The T. Rowe Price Finance Lab, which is located in Stephens Hall, room 112, replicates the functionality of Wall Street’s top trading firms, providing an advanced teaching and research environment. It gives students the ability to value complex securities and investment opportunities in real-time, using the latest numerical algorithms powered by Bloomberg, a global leader in business and financial information.

Key Lab Features

• With a customized interface to stream up-to-the-second analytics, news and charts, a Bloomberg Box offers the same electronic trading platform used by stock analysts to track markets and execute trades.
• Trading simulation software replicates a stock exchange and allows students to transact financial securities with each other on a real-time basis. Students are able to see each step of the transaction process as they submit their orders to the market and trade with one another.
• Stock Trak allows students to manage a virtual stock portfolio, or multiple portfolios.

Open Lab Hours

The finance lab is open to students to work on assignments outside of class time during certain times. The hours for the Fall 2026 semester will be posted in August. 

*CBE reserves the right to schedule special events/workshops during open lab hours, during which time students will not have access to the lab.

*There is one Bloomberg terminal available for students in Stephens Hall, Room 207.

Community Outreach

The lab is a hub for financial literacy education at Towson University and the greater community. The lab hosts various workshops and lectures for elementary school kids as well as K-12 teachers.
