For Community Members

The Public Communication Center is excited to be able to assist in ways that strengthen advocacy, social work and ties to the surrounding community.

"Why is Free Speech Important to you" at Freedom Square.
“Why is free speech important to you?” An open student space at Freedom Square.

The PCC wants to help others “produce confidence in front of a crowd,” both on and off campus.

Community Outreach

The Public Communication Center is excited to partner with Girls on the Run to encourage the youth in our community to advocate for themselves. Sarah Parker Hughes, the director of the PCC, began this partnership between the two organizations in the spring of 2020.

In the past, the Public Communication Center has mentored students in preparation for nationwide competitions. For future partnership opportunities, please contact the Director of the Public Communication Center.
