Annual Report

2016 was an exciting year for Campus Recreation at Towson. We broke ground with our expansion project and soon after, the building began to take form. Our motto has been "We're Steel At It" as we work towards the expansion's completion. Our programs continued to run and provide the entire TU campus community with countless ways to get involved and stay active.

  • 7,293 Group Fitness participants
  • 140 pieces of equipment in the Fitness Center
  • 40 Personal Training Sessions in the Spring semester
  • 5 nationally recognized fitness certification workshops

  • 11,218 Intramural Sports participations
  • 2,013 unique participants

  • 830 games played
2016 Outdoor Adventures Highlights
  • 20 different groups used the challenge course, a 100% increase
  • 93 gear rentals
  • 55 semester bike rentals
2016 Sport Clubs Highlights
  • 32 active teams
  • 854 active participants
  • $154,581.83 in fundraising to support the clubs
  • 6,435.5 community service hours
2016 Business Operations Highlights
  • 28,663 equipment check-outs
  • 20,397 day use locks rented
