Openfit Digital Streaming Platform (free 90-day access)

Given the COVID-19 situation and resulting lack of access to campus recreation facilities, Openfit is granting any individual with a ".edu" email address 90 days of free access to Openfit. Openfit is a digital streaming platform with hundreds of on-demand and live workouts as well as nutrition planning and tracking, all designed to help you stay fit and healthy from home. 

American Council on Exercise (ACE) Exercise Library 

The free ACE Fit Exercise Library offers a variety of total-body movements that target specific areas of the body. Each comes with a detailed description to help ensure proper form. 

Down Dog Yoga App (free access until July 1)
 

So that anyone who wants to practice at home can do so, Down Dog App is making all of their apps - Down Dog, Yoga for Beginners, HIIT, Barre, and 7 Minute Workout - completely free with a ".edu" email address until July 1 Read the instructions to get started. 

NIRSA Recreation Movement

The 2020 NIRSA Recreation Movement is about staying active together, even when we’re apart! This movement aims to help build momentum and amplify messaging around well-being and fitness as we maintain social distancing. 

Students, faculty, staff and alumni with a ".edu" email address are eligible to create an account. Once registered, participants can instantly access live and prerecorded online workout classes from more than 60 colleges and universities across the country. After participating in a class or working out on their own, participants can log their total number of active minutes and watch as TU's total minutes stack up against other participating schools.

Headspace 

The Headspace app is unlocking a free, specially curated “Weathering the Storm” collection of meditation and mindfulness content. 

TU Counseling Center 

Starting on Monday, March 30, the TU Counseling Center will be posting brief videos on their social media pages at 1 p.m. on Mondays (focused on mindfulness skills and guided meditations) and Wednesdays (focused on strategies to take care of ourselves). 

Oak Meditation and Breathing Exercises

The free Oak app offers quick and simple breathing exercises as well as longer guided and DIY meditations.

Weekly NIRSA Trivia

NIRSA will be hosting a trivia game every Wednesday at 8 p.m. (EST). It's free for anyone to play. To get started, create a Twitch account and then view the "Rec Without Borders" stream. The top five finishers will receive swag prizes!
