While off campus, faculty, staff and students have options for accessing Towson University applications, email and network. Below are resources to help you connect using Virtual Workspace, Remote Desktop Gateway or Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Virtual Workspace

Using Towson University's Virtual Workspace (PDF)
The Virtual Workspace is Towson University's web-based, remote access product that allows TU users to remotely access the Towson Desktop, secure share drives and published applications from virtually any computer anywhere with an Internet connection and a browser. When using the Virtual Workspace for the first time, software must be installed. This reference guide will step you through how to download this client and perform a variety of tasks while there.

Remote Desktop for PC (PDF)
The Remote Desktop Gateway allows faculty and staff at Towson University to connect remotely to their Windows-based Towson computer from any other Windows-based computer.

Remote Desktop for Mac (PDF)
The Remote Desktop Gateway allows faculty and staff at Towson University to connect remotely to their Towson PC from any Macintosh computer (home, hotel or different location on campus). Once connected, they will see the desktop of their Towson PC and have access to all software and data, just as if they were actually sitting at their Towson PC.
