Office/Service/Center Example

Here’s an example of how to present content on an office/service/center landing page.

Office of human resources training session
Use a photo that demonstrates some function of the office, such as orientation and training in the Office of Human Resources (shown above). We do not recommend group photos of office staff.

The main text for an office/service/center landing page should briefly describe the office, service, or center and how it functions within the university. Keep in mind that users are going to scan this page. They are looking to complete a specific task in many cases, and are less interested in reading about the history of the office or center.

Representing the Organization of an Office/Service/Center

There are a number of ways you can present the structural divisions within an office, service or center. The Division of Marketing and Communications represents each internal unit by using the Repeatable Visual List design snippet:

Commitment to Diversity

Offices, services and centers can use the Highlighted Block Content callout to highlight important content areas, such as this example which highlights how a specific office, service or center is committed to keeping diversity a priority.

Our Working Definition of Diversity

Diversity is a multiplicity of terms involving many variables. Our diversity tenets include sex, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, color, nationality, gender identity or expression, mental/physical ability, religious affiliation, age and veteran status.
