Newell Hall

Newell Hall offers a variety of living arrangements. Rooms vary from 1 to 3 students per room. Rooms usually either open onto a central hallway and share a community bathroom/lounge areas or are suite style (two bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle; students in these rooms are responsible for cleaning the bathroom.) Newell Hall houses 202 students and is for incoming first-year students and under-class students who are eligible to live on-campus. 

Each room includes the following:

• Wall-to-wall carpet, blinds, microfridge and an AC/heating unit in each room.
• Bedrooms are furnished with a twin extra-long bed, wardrobe, dresser, and desk/chair for each student in the room.  
• Utilities included in the room rate are cable, internet, and electric heat/AC.

Building amenities include:

• A large laundry room.
• Community lounges on each floor.
• Community kitchens on floors 2 and 3.

Newell Hall is staffed by a residence life coordinator and resident assistants. This building is secured twenty-four hours a day with a card access system used by students to gain entry to the building and elevators, as well as a front desk that is staffed 24/7 with either student workers or security guards.
