Computer Science Tutoring

Walk-in tutoring is available for select computer science courses on a weekly basis during the fall and spring semesters, in the York Road building room 403.

What tutoring is available?

Walk-in tutoring is available during the fall and spring semesters for the following courses:

  • COSC 109 (Flash/Web Pages)
  • COSC 111 MS-Office (Applications)
  • COSC 175 General Computer Science
  • COSC 236 Computer Science I
  • COSC 237 Computer Science II
  • CIS 334 Data Org
  • COSC 336 Data and File Structures

Where and when is tutoring offered?

Tutoring for computer science courses is offered in the 7800 York Road Building, Rm. 403. Service is available on a walk-in basis (see schedule below).

Come prepared. 

Compile a list of questions and bring all relevant course materials (e.g., class notes, textbook(s), returned tests or quizzes, etc.) to your session. Tutoring sessions can be canceled if you arrive unprepared. 

Get to know your tutor's role.

All peer tutors are recommended by TU faculty members and their job is to assist you in understanding significant course concepts, develop problem-solving strategies and suggest study techniques. Tutors will not complete or assist with specific homework, project, writing and/or research assignments. Tutors may not be able to answer all questions.
