Multilingual Learners Conference

This event is sold out. Attendees who pre-registered will receive logistical details the week of April 22.

Towson University’s Multilingual Learners Conference is a free, one-day conference that invites classroom teachers, university faculty, school administrators, and community members to learn about research-based practices for multilingual learners and their families. Each participant will receive their choice of a multilingual book to support their teaching or use with their students.

  • 9–9:30 a.m.: Registration Check-in and Select Your Free Multilingual Book
  • 9:30–9:50 a.m.: Breakfast and Conference Overview
  • 10–10:45 a.m.: Concurrent Sessions
  • 10:55–11:40 a.m.: Concurrent Sessions
  • 11:50 a.m.–12:35 p.m.: Lunch

  • Science and the complexities of literacy
  • Special education supports for MLs
  • Strategies for secondary MLs

  • Writing with MLs
