As a TU faculty or staff member, you can pick and choose from an array of benefits choices to meet your needs.
Towson University's health benefits fall under the State of Maryland. Medical plans include routine vision services, behavioral health, and a wellness program. The prescription drug plan and dental plans are free-standing options. Term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment plans are also offered.
Benefits are elected at the time of hire and remain in effect throughout the calendar year unless there is a qualifying event (such as marriage, divorce, birth, or adoption) during the plan year. Changes to benefits can also be made during the annual fall open enrollment, becoming effective January 1 of the following year.

Faculty and staff who enroll in a medical plan are encouraged to participate in the voluntary State of Maryland Wellness Program to either stay healthy or get healthy and to enjoy wellness rewards.
