Teacher Certification Options 

Graduates of the MAT program are eligible for teacher Licensure in general education or special education. 

General Education

• Early childhood (Pre-K to grade 3)
• Elementary education (grades 1 to 6)
• Secondary education (grades 7 to 12) 
• Biology 
• Chemistry
• Earth-space science
• English 
• Mathematics 
• Physics
• History/social studies 
• World languages (Pre-K to grade 12) in French or Spanish

Special Education

• Infant/primary special education (birth to grade 3)
• Elementary/middle special education (grades 1 to 8)
• Secondary/adult education (grades 6 to 12) 

Reduced Program Costs

• Through a contractual agreement with your employer, tuition for the graduate MAT program online courses are significantly discounted.
• The TU application fee of $50 is waived.
• Participants are responsible for purchasing course texts.
• A required electronic portfolio software program, with a one-time fee of $120, will be used in all College of Education graduate programs.
