Educational Philosophy

We believe that it's not enough to teach theory in the classroom. It's critical for students to learn and grow by applying their skills and knowledge while they're still in school. That is why all accounting, business administration and business systems and processes majors complete at least one internship before graduating in the one-of-a-kind Professional Experience course.

CBE Students complete hundreds of internships in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metro areas each year.

Applied learning is woven throughout our programs and courses, such as the capstone Strategic Management class, in which all students tackle a case provided by a real company in the Live Strategy Case Competition.

Transforming Students into Professionals

With this hands-on approach to learning, CBE prepares graduates for success in their professional careers as defined by our Profile of a Graduate, which outlines the key knowledge, skills and attitudes our programs promise to deliver.
