TU Multilingual Learners Hub

The Multilingual Learners Hub provides an extensive array of free resources to support multilingual learning, literacy and well-being. for expanding the capacity of faculty, teachers, students, families, and communities to support multilingual learning, literacy and well-being. We work with area schools to develop evidence-based practices and strategies to expand the capacity of teachers, students, families, communities and others in supporting multilingual learners.

Educators Rising Maryland

Towson University’s College of Education was selected as the official Maryland state affiliate for Educators Rising. Educators Rising is a national organization for middle and high school students aspiring to be teachers and their mentors. Each spring, we host the annual Educators Rising Maryland conference on Towson University's campus and welcome hundreds of high-school students from across the state for a day of connection, learning and fun to inspire teaching careers. 

Reading Clinic

The TU Reading Clinic helps families and participants develop literacy skills for learning and enjoyment through one-on-one sessions and free resources. Team members are faculty and COE graduate students who are experienced classroom teachers and in the final stages of the M.Ed reading education program

TU Teacher Scholars Summer Institute

The TU Teacher Scholars Summer Institute is a four-day, on-campus immersive experience for high school students. Participants learn more about careers in teaching while exploring TU's campus and building connections with their peers. 

University Child Care Center

The University Child Care Center provides an early childhood program for children aged 2-5 years on the campus of Towson University. The center is in partnership with the College of Education and features learning that is child-centered and focuses on their interests, arts and nature. College of Education students get hands-on experience at the center through their classes and employment opportunities.

Maryland Center for Community Schools

Housed within the College of Education, the Maryland Center for Community Schools (MCCS) is a state-central hub that provides comprehensive support to school districts, and community schools. Throughout Maryland, MCCS is building relationships and engaging with community schools, school districts and community partners to provide professional development and conduct research on the impact of community schools on families, students and communities.
