Towson University’s Faculty and Staff Affinity Groups are committed to supporting the personal and professional growth of faculty and staff members, as well as providing a connection to campus resources and leadership. Membership in the Faculty and Staff Affinity Groups is open to all faculty and staff members.
The Asian Faculty & Staff Association (AFSA) at Towson University celebrates, supports, and empowers faculty and staff of Asian origin by fostering a community that provides networking, communication, and personal and professional growth opportunities.
The Black Faculty & Staff Association (BFSA) serves as a resource network within the campus’ community of over 350 faculty, administrators, and staff of African descent. The BFSA supports the University’s public service mission as part of its role as a metropolitan university.
The Jewish Faculty & Staff Association (JFSA) works to provide Jewish cultural and dynamic programs for faculty, staff, students and guests on campus. The JFSA raises awareness around the Jewish community, experiences, services and opportunities on campus.
The Latinx Faculty & Staff Association (LFSA) supports the development of a network of Latino and Latina faculty, administrators, and staff and encourages and promotes the participation of Latinos and Latinas in all facets of Towson University.
The LGBTQ+ Faculty & Staff Association (LGBTQ+FSA) strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all university community members. We provide programs, social events, and informational sessions on matters of importance to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as support programs of the Center for Student Diversity.
The Women’s Faculty & Staff Association (WFSA) shares its mission with the university System of Maryland’s Women's Forum (USMWF) which is to bring together the women of the University System of Maryland in order to enhance the status of women, to foster networking among women and to encourage the participation of women in all facets of the system.
