The TU American Association of University Professors (AAUP) encourages faculty to participate in campus life through engaged leadership in committee work at all levels, active recruitment of departmental colleagues, and direct communication of issues as they arise.

The Faculty Academic Center of Excellence at Towson (FACET) provides supports for developing the talents of university faculty as leaders in teaching, scholarship and service. Contact 410-704-2005 for more information.

The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research (OSPR) provides guidance to faculty and staff in the procurement and management of sponsored project funding. The office assists with identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals and submitting complete and competitive proposals. The office also oversees the administration of awards and ensures external funding is compliant with federal and state regulations. The goal of the Environmental Health and Safety Office is to keep the campus environment safe for the health of its inhabitants and compliant with federal, state and local standards. They have dedicated programs geared toward maintaining biological and radiation safety, proper storm water managementfire safety and securing chemical hazards

The Academic Senate is the primary policy-making body of the university as well as the academic community's primary advisory body to the president.

The University Store provides textbook, course materials and retail merchandise for all members of the TU community. Staff can provide direct access to the most current and accurate textbook information, resulting in precise and timely selections. Contact  or 410-704-2665.

Academic Support Services for Students 

The Academic Advising, Retention & Completion Office coordinates advising for freshmen, new transfer students, students deciding on a major, changing a major and those having academic difficulties. This subsection of Athletics works closely with the Division of Academic Affairs to supervise and coordinate all aspects of athletic academics, such as schedules, achievement, advising, etc.

The International Student & Scholar Office (ISSO) provides documents, services, and programs essential to a culturally diverse academic environment that enhances international learning opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. Contact  or 410-704-2421 for more information.

The Tutoring & Learning Center (TLC) is a full-service learning center for Towson University students. TLC's mission is to facilitate a community of learners by coordinating high quality tutoring, supplemental instruction, peer-assisted learning sessions, academic coaching, study groups and study skills workshops.
